This policy explains how Elowin Labs LLC (“we”) uses cookies on OldPhoto Repair. We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to operate the service, and, while Analytics is on, two Google Analytics cookies. We do not use advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies.

Strictly necessary cookies let the site function. They include cookies that apply fair-use limits and that keep the service available when a request cannot be processed in the usual way. One more small cookie, with a matching entry in your browser’s local storage, records the choice you make in the cookie notice so we do not ask again; it lasts 180 days and holds nothing about you beyond that choice. If you leave the notice unanswered it closes itself after about twenty seconds and records what is already running: Essential on, Analytics on, and nothing else. Nothing new starts at that moment, and Your privacy choices in the footer of every page reopens your preferences. In the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics stays cookieless until you accept Analytics. A second local-storage entry, with no cookie, remembers when you close a suggestion on the tool with “Not now”, so it stays closed. Picking a language in the footer, or dismissing the offer to read the site in your browser’s language, is remembered the same way, so the site can offer that language next time without ever switching you to it on its own. While a restoration is running, the tab holds a note that a job is in progress and a copy of the photo in the browser’s own storage, so the page can pick the job back up if the browser reloads it partway; both are deleted the moment the restoration finishes or fails.

Our cookieless analytics set no cookies; Google Analytics sets the two cookies marked Analytics below, only while Analytics is on.

• _ga (Analytics, 2 years): Google Analytics, a random identifier that lets us tell a returning browser from a new one when counting visits.
• _ga_EPB9VQJBCZ (Analytics, 2 years): Google Analytics, keeps the state of the current visit.

We use two kinds of analytics to learn which pages and features help. Our privacy-focused analytics count page views and a few coarse events without cookies. Google Analytics 4 measures the same page views and events and sets the two cookies listed above. We run Google Analytics with Google signals and ad personalization turned off and do not use it for advertising. In the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it runs without cookies until you accept Analytics. Turn Analytics off in the cookie preferences and they stop counting your visits, and the Google Analytics cookies are removed.

We do not set cookies for advertising, retargeting, social plugins, or other cross-site tracking. We do not sell information collected from cookies.

The cookie notice shown on your first visit lets you accept or decline non-essential categories, and Your privacy choices in the footer of every page reopens those preferences at any time. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of OldPhoto Repair may not work. We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
